When you purchase a fertilizer that has a high nitrogen content. Compost can be used as well. For each row of kale, use a half of cup of fertilizer for each 10 feet row. Fertilizer needs to be mixed in with the soil. It needs to be three to four inches in the soil.
If you don’t know what type of fertilizer to buy, always check with an expert at your local nursery. The expert should be able to get you as much fertilizer that you need to grow your kale. Depending on how large your garden will be, you’ll need a large bag of fertilizer.
