One of the most impressive trees you can grow in your home is the Apricot Tree. It has many uses and is perfect for home gardens or backyards. It is a slow growing tree that can reach a height of about 30 feet, so if you are just starting out with this species, you are probably going to be disappointed. But that’s ok, because once you get it established you can take full advantage of it. Here are some home care tips that you can use from start to finish when caring for your Apricot Tree.

The first thing you need to know if you want your Apricot Tree to grow healthy and strong is that before you even plant it you must prepare the soil properly. Apricot Tree care starts in the soil so make sure that you give your plants the right nutrients before even trying to get them started in the garden. You can make sure that your soil is ready by giving it a light sand or loamy acid fertilizer.

Once you are sure that your soil is ready, you can begin to plant your Apricot Tree. Remember that these trees are not very bushy so you don’t want to plant them next to other more bushy shrubs or trees. In fact, if you plant your Tree too close to any other shrub or tree it will only end up killing the tree or taking over its space. To plant your Apricot Tree you should position it in an area with direct sun light, somewhere that receives at least 6 hours of bright sunshine each day. This will ensure that your tree receives enough rays to produce fruit all season long. When you do place your Tree in the garden, make sure that you position it so the southern-most corner is facing the south-facing windows of your home.

The best time to plant your Apricot Tree is during early spring, about the time when the weather is just beginning to warm up. This will ensure that the root systems will have a chance to develop before other plants begin to sprout. If you are planning on planting your Apricot Tree in a container, you should follow the same guidelines as you would if you were planting it in your garden. Simply dig a hole that is deep enough for the root system to penetrate and fill with dirt and then put the container on top of the hole.

Many people wonder if it is possible to mulch apricot. Mulching your apricot takes some extra care because there are some delicate things that need to be taken into consideration. For example, the actual fruit of your Apricot should never come into contact with mulch. When you are ready to plant your new fruit tree, you will find it very rewarding to watch the tiny little apples grow and spread their seed.

You will need to report your new Apricot Tree every few years. This can be done easily by picking out the little sprigs of apricot that have dropped from your tree and placing them in a shallow dish of water. Allow them to soak for a day then remove them. Loosely pack them into your compost bin with the rest of the compost. Before putting your finished compost heap inside your home, spread half a cup of your prepared compost on the surface of the soil around your new plant. After your new plant starts to bloom you can put the compost on top of the newly sprouted seed and gently press it down until the entire pot full has been covered.
