This plant is pretty resilient when it comes to improper handling, but it can’t stand conditions that are too moist, and this is amplified when it resides in colder climates. Formerly a native of Brazil, oxalis first entered the United States in the 80s and has seen its popularity steadily growing ever since. There is nothing like having some purple to break the monotonous green that most gardens suffer from.
