3. Sun
Carrots are sun babes… they like full sun… all the sun, all the time… that’s what I always say. While they do not like being transplanted… if you have put them in a spot where they’re not getting full sun… you may just have to do such a thing, because they really will not be at their happiest without things just so, in this regard.
The sun is a major food source for carrots. Photosynthesis, that’s right, baby. Sunshine, carbon dioxide, and water are what this little plant needs to create its sustaining nutrients (its food).
Oxygen is, of course, created as a byproduct… but enough about our food, and back to this plants… it needs full sun… 6 – 8 hours a day, and it’ll be a happy camper for you, and grow big and robustly.
